Turning the Tide: A Decade of Reflection and Advocacy Since My Cancer Diagnosis

It's been a decade since the words "you have cancer" pierced my reality. Sometimes, it feels as fresh as yesterday; other times, it seems like a lifetime ago. Life now bears little resemblance to what I envisioned before June 2014. Yet, when I attempt to imagine an alternate reality void of cancer's intrusion, I find myself at a loss. Surprisingly, my life has been enriched in ways I couldn't fathom.

Grace Davasagayam, an Executive Administrative Assistant at the ��ߺ��Corporation of the Americas, had an idea this past winter to offer cups of hot chocolate to the homeless around her neighborhood in King County, Washington, south of Seattle. But after chatting with her colleagues in Olympus’ Redmond facility, her mission transformed into a site-wide initiative of empathy.

As a proud supporter of Meals on Wheels of the Greater Lehigh Valley, ��ߺ��has worked hard to keep up our volunteer efforts throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. For many of our volunteers, delivering meals is an incredibly rewarding experience that fosters a sense of community during a time where many people feel isolated.
